📋 Description

• Partner with faculty subject matter experts to design, develop, and improve online learning experiences • Help faculty translate learning outcomes into instructional strategies, activities, assessments, and learning materials • Apply outcomes-based design, learning theory, adult learning principles, evidence-based teaching practices, Universal Design for Learning, accessibility standards, and inclusive teaching practices • Assist faculty in creating course content and using the Canvas learning management system • Integrate educational technologies that support student learning and stay current with emerging technologies • Manage multiple course development projects with different timelines, priorities, and deliverables • Keep project partners informed and projects moving forward • Collaborate across the college on cross-functional committees and projects • Share ideas, resources, and expertise with colleagues • Contribute to broader initiatives advancing teaching and learning across the college

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, curriculum and instruction, or a related field • Three or more years of experience in an instructional design or similar role focused on developing online, hybrid, or technology-enhanced learning experiences • Three or more years of experience working in higher education settings • Experience applying backward design principles to develop assessments, activities, and instructional materials aligned with learning outcomes • Knowledge of learning theory, adult learning principles, and evidence-based teaching practices • Commitment to accessible, inclusive, and learner-centered design • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts • Proficiency authoring in a learning management system, preferably Canvas • Familiarity with Google Workspace and Zoom • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, including self-direction, proactive communication, and collaboration across different US time zones • Preferred: experience teaching or developing courses within healthcare education • Preferred: advanced knowledge of UDL, WCAG, Section 508, or other accessibility practices • Preferred: experience using learning data to inform course improvements • Preferred: proficiency with eLearning software and/or video, audio, and image editing tools • Preferred: experience leveraging AI in instruction or workflow improvement • Preferred: ability to edit web pages using basic HTML and CSS • Resume or CV and cover letter required; cover letter must address instructional design experience, educational technology experience, and interest in/growth within CGHS
