📋 Description

• Research, design, develop, secure, and build solutions facilitating communications with over 2 million globally deployed Automox software agents • Own significant features and services end to end, from technical design through production release and operation, including the related UI • Champion secure coding and modern software development best practices across engineering • Extend, enhance, and evolve event-driven services for features in the Automox platform and endpoint software • Contribute through testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, and automation • Produce detailed specifications and contribute across the engineering lifecycle • Apply a quality-first mindset and establish strong testing practices • Partner with Product, Program Management, QE, and Technical Support to turn ambiguous problems into deliverable work • Make data-driven development decisions before changes reach production • Coach and mentor junior engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in Go or Java; versatility across languages • Experience working as a Software Engineer on applications with continuous client connectivity • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications deployed in a high availability SaaS environment • Secure Coding experience such as experience with OWASP • Experience building production applications in cloud environments (AWS) with a strong emphasis on security best practices • Professional experience shipping frontend features in a modern JavaScript framework using TypeScript • Experience working as a Software Engineer on applications with continuous client connectivity is desired • Familiarity with scaling microservices, large-scale event ingestion platforms, websockets, real-time messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT), non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, networking, and DevOps • Ability to communicate effectively within a tightly knit, cross-functional remote team environment • Strong leadership skills coaching and mentoring more junior engineers • Experience with software running on customer endpoints across macOS, Windows, or Linux is nice to have • Experience writing automated end-to-end tests using Python, Playwright, or similar is nice to have • Must be able to pass a federal, state, county background check • Complete a local in-person verification • We are not able to sponsor work visas at this time
