📋 Description

• Establish and execute enterprise-wide environmental and sustainability strategies, objectives, and performance metrics • Identify emerging sustainability, climate change, resource management, and environmental stewardship trends, risks, and opportunities • Drive continuous improvement initiatives supporting environmental performance and business success • Provide strategic environmental and sustainability guidance to executive leadership and business stakeholders • Develop policies, standards, and governance processes for sustainability initiatives • Monitor compliance with federal, state, local, and international environmental regulations and standards • Assess environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies • Coordinate environmental audits, inspections, corrective action plans, and compliance reporting • Direct environmental and sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting • Oversee ESG disclosures and reporting processes • Lead greenhouse gas reduction, energy management, waste minimization, water stewardship, pollution prevention, and circular economy initiatives • Establish targets, monitor performance, and implement action plans • Partner with operations, facilities, procurement, legal, finance, human resources, and other departments • Represent the organization with regulators, industry associations, customers, consultants, community groups, and other external stakeholders • Manage departmental budgets, sustainability expenditures, consultants, contractors, and third-party providers • Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate environmental and sustainability personnel as applicable • Monitor environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks, technologies, and industry developments • Support strategic business initiatives and organizational priorities related to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Natural Resources, Environmental Management, Industrial Engineering, Public Policy, or a related field required • Master's degree in a related discipline preferred • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental management, sustainability, ESG, environmental compliance, or related areas • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing environmental or sustainability programs, teams, or enterprise initiatives • Experience developing and implementing sustainability strategies within complex, multi-site organizations preferred • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels • Experience managing environmental compliance programs and regulatory interactions preferred • Experience developing ESG reports and sustainability disclosures preferred • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance requirements, and sustainability principles • Strong understanding of ESG reporting frameworks, sustainability metrics, and performance measurement systems • Knowledge of climate risk assessment, greenhouse gas accounting, energy management, waste reduction, and resource conservation programs • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business priorities • Strong project and program management capabilities • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating across geographically dispersed teams • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and sustainability, environmental, and reporting software applications • High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment
