📋 Description

• Own the technical relationship with each integration partner, including named contacts and support channels • Attend and run partner technical calls • Escalate partner-side blockers and obtain sandbox access, credentials, and documentation corrections • Maintain a vendor reality file documenting inaccurate documentation, undocumented behaviors, rate limits, and quirks • Explore and validate partner APIs hands-on using Postman or curl • Validate authentication flows, pagination, throttling, error semantics, webhook behavior, and sandbox-versus-production differences • Verify API capabilities with working requests and sample payloads • Produce a working Postman collection and annotated findings for each integration • Serve as Product’s primary technical counterpart for integrations • Review PRDs against confirmed API capabilities and flag gaps before sprint commitment • Propose feasible alternatives and help Product adjust scope • Provide effort and risk signals for prioritization • Help Product write technically accurate acceptance criteria and edge-case requirements • Contribute to integration roadmap sequencing based on partner readiness • Serve as the on-call API subject matter expert during implementation • Deliver an integration brief for each project covering authentication, endpoints, field mappings, pagination, known quirks, sample payloads, and resolved open questions • Maintain a reusable internal knowledge base of integration patterns • Intercept, reproduce, resolve, and triage integration-related Tier II support issues • Determine whether defects are configuration, data, partner-side, or code-related before engineering engagement • Own the discovery-gate checklist and ensure integrations enter sprints only after validation and sign-off • Track partner API changes and deprecations and warn engineering in advance • Do not author PRDs or ship production code; define API capabilities while Product defines customer needs and Engineering defines implementation

🎯 Requirements

• Salary exempt employment status • Remote work eligible only in Idaho, Nebraska, Georgia, Ohio, Texas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Florida • Fluent in REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, GraphQL, OAuth2/SAML/OIDC, and webhooks • Highly proficient in Postman or similar API exploration and testing tooling • Able to read code in Python, JavaScript, or similar; shipping production code is not required • Strong written communication • Product-minded approach focused on customer outcomes and viable alternatives • Comfortable driving external partners to resolution, including immature vendors with incomplete or shifting APIs • Skilled at structured troubleshooting and defect triage across systems • Reliable high-speed internet access • Availability during established core business hours • Ability to remain focused for extended periods while working at a computer and engaging in virtual meetings • Compliance with company policies related to information security, confidentiality, and acceptable use of company systems • Python programming ability is a plus, not a requirement • Domain exposure to HRIS/payroll, TMS, telematics, or transportation compliance is a plus, not a requirement
