📋 Description

• Ensure the overall quality of inpatient coding in a fully accountable role • Perform continuous quality improvement when indicated • Ensure accurate and complete coding for measuring and reporting physician and hospital outcomes • Maintain extensive, up-to-date knowledge of clinical coding • Apply documentation requirements and coding guidelines for diagnosis and procedural coding • Follow Coding Clinic and AHA Official Coding Guidelines

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree • In lieu of associate degree, Certified Coding Specialist credential with two years of inpatient coding experience • New AHIMA credential-eligible graduates may be considered • RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification required • Microsoft Office experience preferred • EHR experience preferred • Encoder experience preferred • Residency in Kentucky or Indiana required • Subject to post-offer, pre-employment drug testing
