• Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding • Design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems • Devise or modify application systems and procedures to optimize capacity, operating time, response time, and desired results • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts • Serve as project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead for small to medium efforts, or manage phases of medium to large efforts • Maintain technical skills in software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities, and networks • Respond to system failures and performance events to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence • Provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers • Support and enhance enterprise applications for Internal Audit, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and other Corporate Services partners • Perform application development, modernization, integration, automation, and production support across primarily .NET-based applications • Troubleshoot production issues and support application and server environments • Develop APIs and integrations • Optimize large-scale SQL data processes • Partner with business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions supporting regulatory and operational needs • Contribute to front-end enhancements, AI-driven workflow capabilities, and onboarding new business areas onto enterprise platforms

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required • 1 year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required • 3 years of systems and programming experience required • 1 year of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST • Proven skill with information technology in use at BCBST is required • Proven analysis, design, and coding skills, and demonstrated success in leading large and complex projects • Ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel • Ability to be organized, reliable, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate exceptional work ethic • Leadership skills • Effective communication with technical and non-technical co-workers • Strong full-stack .NET development experience • Ability to balance project work with production support responsibilities • Experience in complex enterprise environments, troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues, and supporting business-critical systems • Preferred experience with SQL Server, API development and integrations, cloud-based data environments, and server administration/support • Experience with large data sets, database query optimization, and enterprise application support highly preferred • Exposure to AI-enabled solutions and workflow automation • Sponsorship is not available for this role • Participation in an on-call rotation approximately one week per month is required
