📋 Description

• Develop and support critical enrollment applications processing Marketplace and Medicare enrollment data • Use C#, .NET, SQL Server, and batch processing to stage and validate enrollment data • Contribute to modernization efforts rewriting legacy AIX and COBOL processes onto a modernized platform • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding • Design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems • Devise or modify application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts • Serve as project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead for small to medium efforts, or manage phases of larger efforts • Maintain technical skills in software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities, and networks • Respond to system failures and performance events to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence • Provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers

🎯 Requirements

• Software engineering experience with C#, .NET, and SQL Server • Experience developing, troubleshooting, and supporting batch-oriented applications and processes • Experience with SQL and database development • Full-stack .NET development experience • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Experience supporting production applications and time-sensitive operational issues • Ability to collaborate with engineers and business partners while independently owning technical work • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required • 1 year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required • 3 years of systems and programming experience required • 1 year of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST • Proven information technology skills in use at BCBST • Proven analysis, design, and coding skills • Demonstrated success leading large and complex projects • Ability to interpret and translate technical or complex concepts for project team members and business personnel • Ability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional work ethic • Leadership skills • Effective communication with technical and non-technical co-workers • Sponsorship is not available in this role
