📋 Description

• Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision according to ISO and GMP standards • Provide thorough follow-up service and call customers after service completion to verify needs were met • Document all service activities in compliance with GMP requirements • Travel daily to multiple customer sites • Troubleshoot and repair lasers/optical pathways, fluidic systems, pneumatic systems, electronic systems, and PCs onsite • Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, technical documentation, and company vehicles • Manage time, expenses, company-issued credit cards, travel advances, and spare parts inventory within established guidelines • Report quality control and technical problems to the Service Center and System Support Engineering Manager • Interface with other departments and managers to resolve customer issues • Promote and maintain excellent customer relations while representing BD standards

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma • Minimum 3 years' experience troubleshooting instruments or components • Valid Driver's License • Willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 50% of working time • Physical capability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related technical/biological discipline • Preferred: Previous Field Service Engineer experience, particularly with medical devices or similar technical equipment • Preferred: Experience with flow cytometry technology • Preferred: Previous customer-facing experience • Demonstrated ability with diagnostic tools, including digital volt meters and oscilloscopes • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word and Excel • Familiarity with Mac and PC operating systems
