📋 Description

• Serve as a contact point between established clients and the Bicycle Health program. • Offer peer-based support through one-on-one coaching and facilitation of peer support groups. • Document within the electronic health record in real time during client visits, at a quality suitable for medical providers. • Utilize patient management tools to track client progress, maintain engagement between medical visits, and document participation in treatment and support services. • Engage clients in conversation and education about substance use, treatment, and recovery. • Provide information about community, online, and other relevant support resources. • Identify barriers to participation and communicate them to appropriate clinical team members. • Apply the Motivational Interviewing framework consistently in client interactions. • Communicate closely with medical providers and support staff involved in assigned clients’ care. • Attend and contribute to assigned meetings. • Support program quality improvement metrics. • Maintain regular and predictable attendance. • Perform other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience as a peer recovery coach, peer support worker, or addiction counselor. • Minimum two years of experience in a medical practice or behavioral health field. • Experience documenting within an electronic health record and communicating closely with providers. • Personal experience with substance use disorder treatment and recovery, through personal recovery or close personal/professional relationships with individuals navigating SUD care. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. • Cultural awareness and responsiveness to diverse client backgrounds and needs. • Understanding of confidentiality requirements for handling client information. • Ability to practice self-care while supporting individuals with complex needs. • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team focused on company-level goals. • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time. • Regular and predictable attendance is required. • Ability to work the specified Sunday–Thursday schedule and complete the four-week training schedule.
