📋 Description

• Facilitate growth for the Bank through business development and management of key client relationships. • Act as an escalation point for complex client issues and resolve conflicts using strategic problem-solving. • Lead the structuring of high-value, complex deals and credit approvals. • Manage high-value client portfolios, driving cross-selling, retention, and profitability. • Identify new business opportunities, acquire clients, penetrate markets, and expand the client base. • Lead market coverage strategies to expand portfolios and align with business goals. • Represent the bank at industry forums and conferences. • Advise committees and task forces with strategic insights and guidance. • Streamline operational processes and implement best practices. • Develop communication strategies to influence stakeholders and support organizational change. • Oversee team resource allocation, personnel, and budgets. • Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-value and strategic clients. • Structure deals, secure credit approvals, negotiate high-value transactions, and identify cross-selling opportunities. • Analyze market trends, client industry developments, and competitive positioning. • Work with internal teams and stakeholders to define client-focused products, solutions, and strategies. • Identify share-of-wallet opportunities. • Use analysis tools to grow a portfolio exceeding ROE thresholds and proactively evaluate client returns. • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, compliance policies, laws, and regulations. • Foster BMO purpose, values, strategy, diversity, and inclusion. • Build interdependent teams across functional and operating groups. • Attract, retain, coach, develop, and manage performance of top talent. • Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level as a senior specialist resource across BMO. • Influence how teams and groups work together and address complex or ambiguous problems. • Communicate abstract concepts in simple terms. • Foster internal and external networks across multiple teams. • Anticipate trends and implement appropriate changes. • Apply BMO's Risk Management Framework and make sound, risk-informed decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Relationship Management, Account Management, or Portfolio Management in a corporate or similar segmented banking environment with sales metrics preferred. • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. • CPA certification preferred. • Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred. • Related discipline or commensurate work experience considered. • Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge. • Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation. • Expert proficiency in Product Knowledge. • Expert proficiency in Regulatory Compliance. • Expert proficiency in Structuring Deals. • Expert proficiency in Portfolio Management. • Expert proficiency in Credit Risk Assessment. • Expert proficiency in Project Management. • Expert proficiency in Change Management. • Expert proficiency in Customer Service. • Expert proficiency in Stakeholder Management. • Expert proficiency in Negotiation. • Expert proficiency in Customer Relationship Building. • Expert proficiency in People Management. • Ability to apply the Risk Management Framework and comply with applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
