📋 Description

• Manage third-party accounts and record income, expenses, assets, and liabilities monthly • Process banking transactions, including wires, transfers, and deposits • Perform internal audits for property compliance • Use RealPage/OneSite and other property management systems to maintain records • Maintain accounting records and reporting for affordable housing properties, including LIHTC and HUD compliance • Execute monthly close tasks, journal entries, reconciliations, and reports under GAAP • Support property budgeting and enter finalized budgets into the accounting system • Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies with adjusting journal entries • Archive supporting documents and documentation according to company policies • Verify delinquency reports, prepaid rent journals, and security deposit ledgers • Manage property cash flow and coordinate and review accounts payable • Support year-end audits and tax filings • Deliver accurate monthly financial reports by established deadlines • Process replacement reserve draw requests and facilitate repair submissions • Monitor and comply with lender reporting obligations • Communicate professionally with clients by email, video, and phone • Uphold a professional demeanor and prioritize customer service

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required • Accounting major highly preferred • 2+ years of directly related property accounting experience highly preferred • Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent time management • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally • Ability to work under pressure, establish priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel • Database experience preferred; Yardi and Resman experience preferred • Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation • Great customer service and excellent communication skills
