📋 Description

• Perform facility condition assessments, property condition assessments, energy audits, accessibility assessments, mechanical evaluations, space utilization analyses, and other building assessment services • Conduct client-facing on-site assessments and prepare written technical reports documenting findings • Perform ASHRAE Level I, II, and III energy audits • Diagnose Building Energy Management Systems/Building Automation Systems and identify operational improvements • Identify energy and water conservation opportunities and calculate projected savings and return on investment • Perform utility allowance studies, Statements of Energy Performance, ENERGY STAR benchmarking, carbon benchmarking, and related building performance analyses • Develop recommendations supporting sustainability, ESG reporting, decarbonization, and Net Zero initiatives • Perform building energy modeling using specialized software • Analyze existing building condition surveys, appraisals, energy studies, benchmarking reports, and accessibility surveys • Complete equipment and building component inventories and document systems, conditions, deficiencies, and remaining useful life • Develop repair, replacement, energy improvement, and capital planning recommendations with cost estimates • Collect field data for lifecycle cost analysis, capital planning, and energy conservation recommendations • Review construction drawings, maintenance records, utility data, repair histories, warranties, and capital improvement records • Collaborate with internal technical teams on multidisciplinary assessment projects • Meet productivity, report quality, and client service expectations • Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies, quality standards, SOPs, and safety requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field, with a minimum of three years of related experience; or five years of progressively responsible related experience in lieu of a degree • Knowledge of Facility Condition Assessments, capital planning, reserve studies, and Asset Management services • Understanding of commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building envelope, lighting, and controls • Knowledge of ASHRAE energy auditing methodologies and building performance principles • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems/Building Energy Management Systems and building controls • Experience with utility benchmarking, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, utility allowance studies, carbon benchmarking, and sustainability reporting • Experience using eQUEST, DesignBuilder, TREAT, Trane TRACE, Wrightsoft, RemRate, or comparable energy modeling platforms • Strong analytical, technical writing, problem-solving, and communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AssetCalc, Quire, and other business-specific software • Ability to operate an electronic tablet for field data collection • Ability to travel by plane, motor vehicle, and train to client sites across the U.S., up to 50% of the time • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs and ladders, and access crawl spaces and roofs during field duties • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and computer • Preferred qualifications include CEM, BEAP, EBCP, BCxP, BPI Multifamily Building Analyst, LEED, or WELL credentials
