📋 Description

• Partner with Product and Design to understand business requirements, user workflows, priorities, constraints, and acceptance criteria • Translate business requirements and designs into technical requirements, implementation plans, system behaviors, and engineering tasks • Identify ambiguities, dependencies, risks, edge cases, tradeoffs, security concerns, and operational challenges • Own product initiatives end to end from technical design and implementation through deployment and ongoing operation • Manage several products or major engineering initiatives with limited day-to-day oversight • Design, build, maintain, test, secure, observe, and optimize production software • Use Claude Code as a primary development environment and orchestrate multiple agents, sub-agents, worktrees, branches, and sessions in parallel • Create AI-native development workflows, quality gates, feedback loops, and lifecycle automation • Review, test, critique, debug, and improve agent-generated work • Automate technical discovery, architecture, planning, development, testing, security analysis, code review, pull requests, infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and maintenance • Work across backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, integrations, and internal tooling • Manage AWS and GCP infrastructure and deployment workflows • Improve legacy systems and continue enhancing products after launch

🎯 Requirements

• Significant Staff, Principal, or equivalent engineering experience • 8+ years of professional software development experience • Expert-level Claude Code experience; mandatory, with substantial product development demonstrated • Experience coordinating multiple AI agents or development sessions in parallel • Production experience with both dynamic-language and strongly typed ecosystems • Required production TypeScript/Node.js experience • Ruby on Rails experience • Required MongoDB experience • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL • Hands-on experience deploying and operating production software in distributed cloud environments across AWS, GCP, or both • Experience with service-oriented or microservice architecture • Hands-on production AI/ML experience, including LLM integration, retrieval or agentic systems, prompt/evaluation design, or edge inference • Extensive API development and third-party API integration experience • Strong automated CI/CD and software testing experience • Ability to translate business and product requirements into technical requirements and implementation plans • Strong product judgment and ability to identify edge cases and unmet requirements • Strong understanding of software design, architecture, security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability • Ability to critically review AI-generated code • Ability to work across unfamiliar languages, frameworks, and legacy systems • Strong ownership, initiative, and bias toward building • Excellent written and verbal communication • Authorization to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship
