📋 Description

• Scope overhead and underground electric distribution projects from conception to closeout • Gather and evaluate field data, client requirements, and existing system conditions • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with stakeholders • Design distribution facilities, including line extensions, rebuilds, relocations, and system improvements • Prepare construction drawings, engineering calculations, and utility-compliant design packages • Perform load studies, voltage drop calculations, and equipment sizing • Design and specify poles, conductors, transformers, and protective devices • Support storm hardening, reliability upgrades, and system modernization initiatives • Develop material lists, bills of materials, and project cost estimates • Prepare construction specifications, technical packages, and environmental or municipal permit documentation • Maintain organized engineering records and project history throughout the project lifecycle • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, project teams, and stakeholders while providing technical expertise, leadership, and coordination

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering • 4+ years of direct experience in electric utility distribution engineering • Proven experience designing overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems • Deep familiarity with utility design standards • Knowledge of industry safety codes such as NESC • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks • Proficiency with CAD and design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS platforms, and Distribution Design Studio (DDS) • EIT Certification preferred • Professional Engineer license preferred
