📋 Description

• Own infrastructure used to run, ship and monitor software end to end • Learn infrastructure and deployment pipelines end to end • Help design and build an agentic development environment • Improve monitoring and alerting for payment-impacting issues • Strengthen and test disaster recovery and backup strategy • Improve production of compliance evidence, including access reviews, change logs and audit trails • Maintain and evolve Kubernetes-based infrastructure on AWS using AWS CDK, Helm and kubectl • Build and improve GitHub Actions deployment pipelines • Write and ship production code, infrastructure as code, internal tooling and application-service changes • Own New Relic observability, including dashboards, alerting and SLOs for critical payment flows • Operate and scale CloudAMQP, MongoDB Atlas and PostgreSQL • Manage secrets, access controls and identity infrastructure • Design for high availability and disaster recovery • Lead incident response and postmortems • Optimize AWS cost and performance • Partner with engineering and compliance on security controls and audit readiness • Report to the security and infrastructure lead

🎯 Requirements

• Strong programming skills in at least one general-purpose language, ideally Java or Kotlin • Track record of shipping and reviewing production code • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps or SRE roles • Strong experience operating production systems on AWS • Proficiency with Kubernetes in production • Experience with infrastructure as code, such as AWS CDK or Terraform, and Helm • Experience building CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic • Knowledge of least-privilege access, secrets management and network security • Comfort with on-call and incident response • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development • Comfort with high autonomy and ambiguity in a fast-moving, remote startup • Clear written communication • Professional English required • Must be authorized to work in country of residence • No visa sponsorship available • Background check required upon offer • Nice to have: fintech, payments or regulated-environment experience • Nice to have: SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit experience • Nice to have: Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, MongoDB or Keycloak experience
