📋 Description

• Provide leadership and vision for supported applications within the WVU ITS portfolio • Provide daily operational oversight of a team of technical professionals • Assist with budgeting, resource planning, and creation of policies, procedures and standards • Allocate resources and prioritize work with leadership to align with strategic priorities • Work with stakeholders to maintain high service delivery and customer satisfaction • Manage and mentor the Teaching and Learning Applications operational team, including task management, recruitment, evaluation, training, motivation and staff development • Ensure resources are allocated effectively to accomplish projects and tasks • Maintain effective relationships with ITS teams to support learning environments and customer experience • Serve as subject matter expert on assigned projects and ensure customer expectations are met • Ensure standardized approaches across Teaching and Learning applications and integrations • Apply ITS programs, policies and best practices to deliver and support applications • Review and evaluate service requests to determine resources for learning portfolio solutions • Maintain vendor relationships to support customer experience • Establish and implement goals, objectives, policies and operational procedures with the Director • Monitor and evaluate service effectiveness and implement improvements • Assist the Director with institutional learning application needs and administration standards • Monitor integrated platforms and evaluate usage for short- and long-term effectiveness

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Education, and/or a related field • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in administering Learning Management Systems, including assessment, consultation, integration development and governance • Experience in supervisory project management, organizational and leadership skills • Practical, daily operational lead experience in administration and support of Learning Management or similar environments and integrated learning solutions • Experience communicating technical information to a non-technical audience • Experience in instructional integration strategies, including researching and matching technical learning solutions to institutional technical learning needs • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered • Exceptional time management and organizational skills • Project management and consulting skills • Expertise in Learning Management Systems or similar applications, including design, testing, industry standards research and enhancement suggestions • Written and verbal communication, collaboration and team-building skills • Professional-level writing, editing and oral communication skills • Ability to present technical materials to a large, non-technical audience • Ability to prepare documentation, reporting and knowledge-base data • Ability to resolve complex issues and explain or train staff on technical application features or processes • Ability to express learning management requirements to clients and analyze user information, statistics and feedback • Technical knowledge of Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) integration and supported learning tools • Knowledge of people insight platforms • Problem-solving and team management skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple project tasks and prioritize requirements • Microsoft Office suite proficiency • Ability to moderately travel for meetings and/or training
