Charters, Meetings and Incentives at NCLH is the group-sales and event business unit of Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) that designs and sells chartered sailings, meetings, incentive programs and group cruise packages. It helps planners and organizers book group cruises with discounts, onboard credits and tailored experiences across NCL’s fleet and private-island destinations, supporting logistics, accommodations and event spaces for corporate, association and private groups.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain and service a designated portfolio of travel agency accounts within the Southern California territory • Maintain and further develop travel agency relationships within the territory • Design and implement local and national marketing and promotional programs to achieve territory sales objectives • Develop marketing plans, strategies and initiatives to stimulate agency revenue growth • Research and source new revenue opportunities within assigned accounts • Create and execute marketing ideas and sales strategies to support travel agency growth • Resolve travel agency issues using knowledge of company products, services and headquarters sales support • Plan, create and implement annual territory sales and marketing plans for top-producing accounts • Review sales plans, accounts, promotional efforts and ROI monthly and adjust plans accordingly • Develop strategic and tactical plans using existing data and reports to achieve territory revenue goals • Implement local and national marketing incentive programs • Make daily sales contacts through in-person calls, Zoom meetings, webinars, phone calls, group meetings, metro meetings and social media • Create and execute promotional programs and provide promotional materials to travel agents • Manage travel, marketing, supplies, advertising and promotion budgets; review and report expenses monthly • Negotiate sales plans and group contracts • Support key, strategic and national accounts, promotions and events • Analyze account sales and marketing plans and ROI, making adjustments after each initiative • Conduct seminars, webinars, familiarization cruises, ship tours, training events, cruise events, trade shows and consumer shows • Perform other assigned job-related functions

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field • Minimum 5 years of sales or account management experience, preferably in the travel industry • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint skills • Experience with Zoom/Go To meeting platforms • Ability to build personal credibility through product knowledge, services, procedures, consistent follow-through and problem-solving • Excellent communication skills and understanding of working with agency owners, marketing professionals and front-line travel advisors • Proven ability to implement contracts using negotiation and presentation skills • Creative ability to develop a personal brand for selling cruise vacations and building relationships • Ability to adapt to a quickly changing sales environment and shift priorities • Analytical skills to translate revenue results and manage budget and forecasting • Ability to prepare and analyze cost of sale results • Effective time management skills to work independently and meet sales goals • Business acumen and understanding of profitability dynamics • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends • Ability to bend and lift up to 30 lbs., with reasonable accommodation • Ability to stand for long periods and provide walking tours for client onboard vessels, with reasonable accommodation
