• Develop, maintain and service a designated portfolio of travel agency accounts in Houston and surrounding South Texas areas • Maintain and further develop travel agency relationships within the territory • Design and implement local and national marketing and promotional programs to achieve territory sales objectives • Develop marketing plans, strategies and initiatives to stimulate agency revenue growth • Research and source new revenue opportunities within assigned accounts • Create and execute marketing ideas and sales strategies to support travel agency growth • Resolve travel agency issues using company product and service knowledge and coordinate with headquarter-based sales teams • Plan, create and implement annual territory sales and marketing plans for top-producing accounts covering FIT and Group business • Review sales plans, accounts, promotional efforts and ROI monthly and adjust plans accordingly • Use data and reports to develop strategic and tactical plans for territory revenue goals • Develop pre/post-sales-call strategies and make productive daily sales contacts through in-person calls, Zoom meetings, webinars, phone calls, group meetings, trade shows and social media • Create and execute promotional programs and provide materials to travel agents • Manage travel, marketing, supply, advertising and promotional budgets and report monthly expenses • Negotiate sales plans and group contracts; support key, strategic and national accounts, promotions and events • Analyze account sales and marketing plans and ROI, making adjustments after initiatives • Conduct seminars, webinars, familiarization cruises, ship tours, training events, cruise events, and trade and consumer shows • Perform other job-related functions as assigned
• Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field • Minimum 5 years of sales or account management experience, preferably in the travel industry • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint skills • Experience with Zoom/GoTo Meeting platforms • Ability to build personal credibility through product knowledge, services, procedures, consistent follow-through and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills and understanding of working directly with agency owners, marketing professionals and front-line travel advisors • Proven ability to implement contracts using negotiation and presentation skills • Creative ability to develop a personal brand for selling unique cruise vacations and building relationships within assigned territories • Ability to adapt to a quickly changing sales environment and shift priorities according to business or territory demands • Analytical skills to translate revenue results and manage budgets and forecasting • Ability to prepare and analyze cost-of-sale results • Effective time management skills to work independently and meet sales goals • Business acumen combining product knowledge with understanding of profitability dynamics • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends • Ability to bend and lift up to 30 lbs. to pack and transport marketing collateral, with reasonable accommodation • Ability to stand for long periods for presentations and provide walking tours aboard client vessels, with reasonable accommodation
