📋 Description

• Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of platform domains, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud foundations • Architect and implement cloud landing zones, network topologies, and identity frameworks • Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code standards and module design patterns • Lead production incident response for P0/P1 platform incidents • Drive post-incident reviews with actionable remediation • Drive automation initiatives that reduce toil for platform engineers and product teams • Mentor and provide technical code review for L1 and L2 engineers • Partner with SRE on reliability reviews for new platform components • Contribute to platform roadmap planning by identifying opportunities and risks • Evaluate and recommend new tools, services, and frameworks

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years of engineering experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or cloud operations, with a track record of owning production systems end-to-end • Expert-level Terraform: module authoring, state management, remote backends, and governance • Production Kubernetes expertise: cluster lifecycle, networking (CNI), storage, security policies, and multi-tenancy • Strong multi-cloud experience; AWS and Azure preferred • Proficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling development • Experience designing CI/CD architectures for large engineering organizations • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and outcomes • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US • CivicPlus is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position
