📋 Description

• Serve as a core contributor on an engineering team led by the Technical Lead • Own significant features end to end • Shape system architecture and contribute to complex architectural challenges and system designs • Build, review, and improve high-performing software • Deliver well-tested, high-quality marketplace features on time within agile sprints • Scope work accurately and proactively flag and resolve technical roadblocks • Contribute to the scalability, security, and reliability of the e-commerce platform across Node.js, React, MySQL, and MongoDB • Write maintainable code, uphold code review standards, and minimize production bugs • Elevate the team’s technical capability through high-quality code reviews, sound design input, and informal mentorship • Collaborate closely with the engineering team and Technical Lead • Lead by example in engineering craftsmanship

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on practical experience • 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience across the full software development life cycle (SDLC) • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, including scoping complex work, driving features to completion, and unblocking yourself and others • Experience mentoring or guiding engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical discussion • 2+ years of direct experience building, scaling, or maintaining e-commerce platforms, multi-vendor marketplaces, or high-volume transactional SaaS applications • Understanding of shopping cart state management, payment gateway integrations, inventory synchronization, and secure user data handling • Hands-on experience integrating PunchOut catalogs with third-party procurement and ERP systems, including end-to-end punchout session and cart round-trip • 4+ years of full-stack development experience focused on the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem • Experience designing and building scalable backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Nest.js • Experience developing responsive, high-performance frontends using React and Next.js • Experience with database design and management, including NoSQL MongoDB and relational MySQL databases • Familiarity with e-procurement integration standards and protocols, including cXML PunchOut and/or OCI • Familiarity with purchase order and invoice document exchange, including cXML OrderRequest and InvoiceDetailRequest • Preferred: experience with high-growth e-commerce or multi-vendor marketplace platforms, multi-currency transactions, global logistics, or complex vendor payout structures • Preferred: familiarity with SOC 2, NIST, or PCI-DSS and applying controls within a cloud-native software development lifecycle • Preferred: experience building and maintaining PunchOut catalog connections at scale, including Level 1 and Level 2 PunchOut, hosted/CIF catalogs, shared-secret authentication, session handling, and troubleshooting across buyer procurement platforms
