📋 Description

• Plan, execute, and close projects • Serve as the single point of accountability for project execution • Develop and execute the function’s strategy • Establish individual and team priorities, performance goals, and objectives • Provide training, development opportunities, stretch assignments, and feedback • Manage and evaluate individual and team performance • Identify and recommend process improvements • Balance workloads among team members • Hire and retain top talent • Define and build organizational capabilities • Execute lower-risk projects and support larger complex projects • Mentor and guide project managers • Communicate project status and impacts to stakeholders and corporate leadership • Execute SDLC and Agile methodologies and governing processes • Support and track project budgets • Create project deliverables, plans, assignments, and quality reviews • Manage project cost, time, scope, and quality constraints • Monitor work efforts, identify resource needs, report status, and escalate issues • Anticipate, evaluate, and resolve project issues, delays, and problems • Track milestones and adjust plans or resources • Lead Scrum teams in determining sprint deliverables • Lead Kanban teams in prioritizing and delivering work

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years applicable IT experience • 5+ years people management experience • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another technical discipline, or 10+ years of demonstrable project management experience • Familiarity with Scrum and Kanban methodologies • If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship or support • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks
