Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants is a multi-location cardiovascular practice in the Clearwater, Florida area that provides comprehensive cardiovascular care, diagnostics, procedures and ambulatory surgical services. The practice offers advanced cardiac imaging and testing (CT, PET, SPECT, echocardiography, ECG, Holter/event monitoring, carotid and peripheral vascular studies), invasive and interventional procedures (cardiac catheterization, peripheral angiography and interventions, TAVR, MitraClip, pacemaker and ICD implantation, Watchman device, venous ablation), cardiac rehab, and runs clinical studies. They also provide patient-facing services such as appointment scheduling, patient portal, payment/billing, and an AI-powered Cleerly heart analysis. Clearwater Cardiovascular has multiple offices including Clearwater, Countryside, Bardmoor and a new Trinity location, and operates an accredited ambulatory surgery center.

📋 Description

• Oversee and support daily accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness • Assist with preparation and review of financial reports and analyses • Monitor accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls • Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis • Research and resolve accounting issues and variances • Prepare and analyze financial information and provide recommendations to management • Support internal and external audit activities and provide requested documentation • Assist with maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial and accounting analyses • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and ensure timely and accurate financial information • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Previous accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity • Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading accounting staff • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including analyzing and manipulating financial data • Experience performing ad hoc financial and accounting analyses • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team • Experience with an ERP/accounting system (preferred) • Experience with month-end close and financial reporting (preferred) • Experience in a healthcare or multi-entity accounting environment (preferred)
