📋 Description

• Own ingestion, validation, editing, and storage pipelines for prescription drug event (PDE) records • Apply and maintain CMS-defined business rule validations and return edit results to plan sponsors • Engineer and maintain vendor reference data edits from FDA, NCPDP, FDB, MediSpan, NPPES, and OIG sources • Provide health plan and CMS status updates on PDE submissions • Build, maintain, and optimize Apache Airflow and PySpark transformations across S3, Redshift Serverless, Snowflake, and Databricks • Maintain compatibility with CMS data model changes • Monitor PDE adjustment trends and informational edit rates • Link rejected PDEs with IDR records and provide beneficiary- and plan-level cost aggregations to PRS • Support CMS data transfer projects and new data-share integrations, including API and multi-cloud approaches • Maintain unit test coverage and support BDD and TDD practices • Track real-time processing metrics including volumes, error rates, and reconciliation accuracy • Operate within the CMS Lean-Agile Release Train and deliver code through GitHub, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory/XRay, SonarQube, and Snyk CI/CD pipelines

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field • 8 or more years in data engineering • 4 or more years building and operating high-volume batch ETL systems • Expert-level Python and PySpark • Production experience with Apache Airflow (AWS MWAA) at scale • Production experience with AWS Redshift Serverless, Snowflake, and Amazon Athena • Hands-on experience with Databricks Notebooks and Jobs • Strong SQL skills for multi-source transformation, editing logic, and pipeline reconciliation • Experience with AWS S3, SQS, Lambda, and EventBridge • Experience with Linux environments including RHEL, CentOS, and Amazon Linux 2 • Bash shell scripting • Experience operating pipelines under strict data quality, accuracy, and timeliness SLAs in a federal or healthcare environment • Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and JFrog Artifactory for version control and CI/CD • Ability to pass CMS and internal background checks for public trust • Must reside in one of the designated states: Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Tennessee, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, or Texas • Position contingent upon contract award
