📋 Description

• Build and maintain market data components, including feed handlers, normalization pipelines, distribution systems, and venue connectivity • Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput services for real-time market data consumed by platform trading systems • Drive reliability and performance improvements through observability, on-call participation, and incident response • Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to engineering standards on a lean team • Partner with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver market data capabilities supporting Coinbase’s institutional trading roadmap

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience building and maintaining production low-latency systems • Hands-on experience with market data infrastructure, including feed handlers, normalization, or distribution • Proficiency in low-latency Java or C++ • Familiarity with high-throughput messaging frameworks such as Aeron or SBE • Familiarity with venue/exchange connectivity and market data protocols including FIX, ITCH/OUCH, and multicast • Track record of shipping features end-to-end and operating them in production • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
