📋 Description

• Gather necessary information and requirements, set priorities, and prepare work for estimation • Perform quantity takeoffs for materials and labor to develop accurate production estimates • Analyze construction drawings and interpret specifications for accurate cost projections • Prepare detailed construction budgets by reviewing plans, updating specifications, and identifying phase costs • Evaluate purchase offers, cost changes, additions, and site requirements against budget constraints • Obtain vendor and subcontractor bids, specify materials, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing • Maintain cost keys and price masters; resolve cost discrepancies through data collection and analysis • Prepare special reports summarizing cost data and project trends • Adhere to organizational standards and procedures • Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs across corporate, division, and local teams • Keep current with industry trends, technologies, and standards through workshops, publications, and professional societies • Work with Project Management on proposals and Construction Management on production rates, milestones, and job sequencing

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years preferred • Quality focused • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Strong budget and documentation skills • Vendor relationship management experience • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus Adobe • Working knowledge of construction scheduling • Ability to develop and manage teams • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues • Strong decision-making skills
