📋 Description

• Refine, implement, and continuously improve CVAUSA’s cardiac PET/CT quality and safety program across its practice network • Establish and maintain quality metrics, protocols, and standard operating procedures for acquisition, stress protocols, tracer handling, quantification, and interpretation • Build dashboards and reporting for network- and site-level imaging quality and outcomes • Serve as subject-matter expert on PET/CT accreditation requirements, including IAC and ACR • Support practices through initial accreditation and re-accreditation, including documentation, QC records, and competencies • Partner with the Medical Director and Radiation Safety Officer on clinical protocol specifics • Establish peer review and over-read programs for interpreting physicians • Compare PET/CT findings with invasive coronary angiography and use discordance analysis to drive corrective action • Analyze billing and electronic health record data to identify quality variation, utilization patterns, and clinical outcomes • Implement and improve quality-focused clinician training and competency requirements • Develop PET/CT continuing-education content • Travel to affiliated practices to assess equipment, QC, protocols, staff competency, workflow, and image quality • Identify sources of imaging variation and poor quality and lead remediation • Apply PDSA cycles, root-cause analysis, and statistical process control to improve diagnostic accuracy and safety • Set benchmarks, monitor performance, and partner with practice leadership to sustain improvements

🎯 Requirements

• 5–10+ years managing the quality of cardiac imaging services • 5+ years specifically working with cardiac PET, or 5+ years in nuclear cardiology/SPECT quality leadership with demonstrated ability to ramp on PET-specific quality control • Deep understanding of PET/CT accreditation quality criteria and quality best practices • Proven experience developing and managing cardiac PET quality-improvement programs, including routine peer review and PET/CT-to-coronary-angiography correlation programs • Experience defining and administering quality training and competency requirements for clinicians • Practical familiarity with operating high-quality cardiac PET/CT programs in community practice settings • Understanding of common sources and drivers of care variation and poor-quality imaging • 2+ years driving quality improvement across imaging service lines, including cardiac PET • Working fluency in core quality-improvement principles • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% • Preferred: based in the Southeast US or Florida • Preferred: experience standardizing quality across a multi-site network or MSO environment
