📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale data infrastructure and data processing systems • Implement robust and scalable solutions supporting data-driven applications, analytics, and business intelligence • Integrate data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms • Optimize data processing and query performance through data pipeline, database configuration, and data partitioning improvements • Establish data quality checks and validations and resolve data issues • Implement data security measures including encryption, access controls, and regulatory compliance • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders • Design and develop data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines • Establish auditing and monitoring mechanisms for data access and governance • Monitor and alert on bottlenecks, latency, and failures; troubleshoot problems, investigate root causes, and implement remediation • Explore frameworks, platforms, and cloud services that improve data processing capabilities • Leverage DevSecOps practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience in the IT industry • 2+ years of experience with Python development • 3+ years of experience with SQL-based relational databases and T-SQL • Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation approximately every 6 weeks • Must be willing to work EST time zone hours • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience) • DB2 experience with IBM DataStage preferred • SQL Server experience with SSIS or other ETL tools preferred • Experience with Windows and Linux environments preferred • Experience using AI-assisted development tools preferred • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud (GCP) • Problem solving, decision making, and collaborative team environment skills preferred • Growth mindset skills preferred • Execution and delivery skills preferred
