📋 Description

• Design and build foundational AI/GenAI platform services for CVS Health's internal agentic and LLM-driven tooling • Develop LLM routing and cost governance infrastructure • Build internal developer tooling for AI-assisted software development • Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities and orchestration tools for agentic workflows • Design platform services for authentication, quota and cost management, observability, and routing policy • Enable enterprise engineering teams to build with LLMs quickly, safely, and cost-effectively • Address healthcare compliance requirements involving PHI/PII, HIPAA, and BAA requirements with model providers • Collaborate with senior engineers to explore ideas and deliver foundational AI services

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years building production backend services in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js • 2+ years designing and building RESTful APIs or microservices using FastAPI, Flask, Express, or NestJS • Experience integrating with LLM/AI provider APIs in a production system • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP • Production experience with Redis, Kafka, and MongoDB or equivalents • Experience with OAuth2/OIDC or JWT-based authentication and authorization systems • Experience with observability/telemetry tooling such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Langfuse, or Datadog • Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines • Experience with Git and code review processes • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline
