📋 Description

• Design and develop firmware for wireless devices and/or embedded Linux-based systems • Optimize code size and performance, including existing code • Integrate IoT devices into existing ecosystems such as Amazon, Control4, and Legrand • Develop firmware for MCUs and wireless SoCs under RTOS control or bare metal • Develop embedded systems based on Linux • Work on IoT gateways and smart home centers supporting one or more IoT protocols • Develop software for smart home sensors, wearables, smart pet devices, and related wireless products • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Zigbee software protocol stack • Work with client teams and interact directly with clients • Independently design, document, and implement software subsystems • Understand customer requirements and participate in technical meetings and discussions • Maintain, troubleshoot, and contribute to existing codebases

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant professional software development experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field • Strong proficiency in C/C++ software development • Professional experience with Zigbee, including development, integration, debugging, or maintenance of Zigbee-based solutions • Hands-on experience developing and debugging firmware for MCUs, with experience in OS-less, RTOS, and/or Embedded Linux environments • Alternatively, experience with Linux development across different hardware platforms • Ability to independently develop and take ownership of software components • Effective communication and collaboration with software development team members • Ability to understand, maintain, troubleshoot, and contribute to an existing codebase • Ability to design, document, and implement software subsystems independently • Ability to understand customer requirements and participate in technical meetings and discussions • Good technical English, both written and spoken • Experience with Zephyr OS is a plus • Experience with UART, USB, TCP, UDP, TLS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MQTT, HTTP, or Modbus is a plus • Experience with wireless communication technologies and networks such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Z-Wave is a plus • Experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Linux, or similar embedded platforms is a plus • Experience integrating embedded devices with cloud services is a plus • Knowledge of Python, Lua, Perl, or Shell scripting is a plus • Experience in technical team leadership or management is a plus • Experience optimizing code size and performance is a plus • Experience maintaining and working with a large, complex existing codebase is a plus • Experience with Unix-like systems administration is a plus • Experience working effectively with distributed or geographically dispersed development teams is a plus
