📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end quality strategy for EPOWERdoc, defining test plans, risk-based coverage goals, and quality gates for every release • Evaluate, select, document, and architect tooling for UI, API, performance, accessibility, and security testing • Build and maintain scalable test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and integrations • Automate critical clinical workflows including triage, documentation, orders, and discharge • Build load, stress, and soak tests modeling emergency-department peak volumes • Establish performance baselines and identify regressions before production • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for pull-request and build validation • Apply parallel execution and AI-assisted test-impact analysis to maintain short feedback loops • Identify, document, prioritize, and resolve defects with engineering teams; drive root-cause analysis • Lead exploratory testing of new features and complex clinical user flows • Contribute quality perspectives to sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives, acceptance criteria, estimates, and release readiness • Champion quality-first practices from code reviews through release management • Report quality metrics and trends including escaped defects, flakiness, and test cycle time • Ensure testing practices, test data, and AI-tool usage meet HIPAA and healthcare data-security standards • Use LLMs to generate test scenarios, edge cases, and boundary conditions from requirements, then review them • Use AI coding agents, Playwright MCP, and test agents to create and maintain automated tests • Apply AI to locator healing, flaky-test detection, failure analysis, root-cause summarization, and defect routing • Create realistic, PHI-free synthetic patient records and clinical scenarios using tools such as Synthea or LLM-driven generators • Design evaluation frameworks for AI-powered EPOWERdoc capabilities using golden datasets, scoring rubrics, LLM-as-judge grading, and regression gates • Test AI features for hallucination, clinical and coding accuracy, bias, PHI leakage, prompt injection, and graceful failure • Track and share the impact of AI on test-authoring time and maintenance effort • Shape the QA technology stack, including Playwright, TypeScript, API and contract testing, HL7/FHIR validation, Locust or k6, OWASP ZAP, AI evaluation tools, and CI/CD reporting • Deliver target QA-stack and AI-native architecture decision records within 30 days; critical workflow regression coverage, performance baseline, and daily AI-assisted authoring by 90 days; reduced manual regression and AI evaluation release gates by 6 months

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional QA or software testing experience, including at least 3 years building test automation • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, risk-based testing, test design techniques, and software development life cycles • Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript and working proficiency in Python • Hands-on experience with modern automation tools; Playwright strongly preferred, with Cypress or Selenium also considered • Experience building scalable test frameworks from the ground up, managing test data, keeping suites stable and fast, and making well-reasoned tooling decisions • Daily use of AI coding agents in test engineering, with examples to demonstrate • Understanding of LLM feature failures and testing non-deterministic outputs with evaluation datasets, rubric or model-based grading, and pass thresholds • Hands-on experience with Locust, k6, JMeter, or similar performance-testing tools, including realistic workload modeling and result interpretation • Solid experience with API testing, CI/CD tools, Git, and running automated suites within build pipelines • Ability to explain quality risks clearly to engineers, product managers, and leadership • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, self-starter attitude • Experience working in a highly remote, fast-paced, agile environment across time zones • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience • Healthcare or health-tech experience, especially EHR, EDIS, or regulated clinical software, is nice to have • Familiarity with HL7 v2, FHIR, and HIPAA requirements is nice to have • Hands-on experience with LLM evaluation and observability tools, MCP servers, or custom AI agents is nice to have • Experience with security, accessibility, prompt-injection testing, red-teaming, and WCAG is nice to have
