📋 Description

• Conduct online medical research of Motor Vehicle Accident and Health Insurance claims using EnableComp’s proprietary software, systems, tools, and online medical websites • Research, request, acquire, and review medical records, provider notes, explanations of benefits, and supporting documentation • Manage the claim lifecycle and communicate accurately with insurance carriers • Contact payers for claim status, rebill claims when necessary, and escalate issues • Handle claim and resolution activities for HI/GI accounts receivable • Resolve denied claims by submitting corrected claims and filing appeals • Coordinate with parties regarding insurance benefits, claim status, and additional needs • Review health insurance remittances and work with payers to resolve underpayments • Identify denial trends and alert leadership to support denial prevention • Act as liaison between EnableComp clients, patient attorneys, and insurance companies • Handle PHI while maintaining privacy and security of confidential and proprietary information • Communicate issues through the manager, including systems errors and HIPAA questions

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred • 2+ years’ experience in healthcare billing or collections • EMR/Billing system experience required • 2+ years’ client-facing/customer service experience • 1+ years’ experience resolving Health Insurance/Government Insurance claims • Strong computer proficiency • Basic office application proficiency, including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and data requirements related to motor vehicle claims • Intermediate understanding of Health Insurance/Government Insurance claims processing • Basic understanding of MVA legal requirements • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered • Regular and predictable attendance • Ability to meet or exceed productivity targets and goals • Professional image and excellent customer service • Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure • Ability to work independently without direct supervision • Proven written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience working with external clients, strong customer service skills, and business acumen • Ability to operate a computer and phone constantly • Ability to adhere to EnableComp’s Core Values, Vision, and Mission
