📋 Description

• Design and implement software solutions that turn energy IoT devices into resources supporting a cleaner, more resilient grid • Design and implement systems for ingesting and managing data from utility software systems, including meter data management, GIS, AMI, and EMS/SCADA • Independently identify solutions, design systems, find roadblocks, and delegate work to senior engineers across teams • Build cross-team and cross-functional influence for company-wide initiatives • Map dependencies and tradeoffs and help teams execute a shared roadmap • Develop connections to energy markets and electric-grid balancing systems • Develop APIs and tools for hardware manufacturers and third-party enterprise software integrations • Collaborate with analytics and machine learning teams to deliver data insights and optimize virtual power plants • Improve the scale, automation, and reliability of device telemetry, energy, and weather-data pipelines • Introduce tools, techniques, and best practices for the team • Resolve novel technical, operational, and organizational challenges • Mentor early-career and senior engineers • Contribute to team culture and an inclusive environment

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience • Experience with Python and SQL required • Experience building data pipelines and ELT/ETL systems • Comfortable leading system design and architecture • Experience with data warehouses, including Snowflake, and data modeling • Designing and building data pipelines within an electric utility preferred • Familiarity with Airflow, dbt, AWS Kinesis, and S3 preferred • Experience with automated testing, continuous integration/deployment, and monitoring systems preferred • Java or MongoDB preferred • Sigma, Tableau, or similar BI tools preferred • Sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization or other immigration-related support is unavailable
