📋 Description

• Provide software support and services to Ensono mainframe clients related to CICS and WAS • Install, test, and implement new operating systems and system software • Maintain and debug systems software • Coordinate IOGEN work for new mainframe hardware • Research and evaluate new software and hardware products • Assist team members and other areas with technical questions and problem resolution • Monitor and tune systems software • Fulfill customer service orders for mainframe z/OS customers concerning CICS TS and related OEM software products • Provide primary support for reported CICS TS/WAS and related OEM software problems • Provide support on a 24x7x365 basis across multiple time zones • Install OEM software products according to best practices and Ensono standards • Prepare customer partitions for operating system upgrades • Support customer migration services and newly acquired customer transitions • Execute tasks associated with customer disaster recovery plans • Follow ITSM change control procedures, including implementing fixes and upgrading, maintaining, enhancing, or adding options to z/OS products

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience • 5+ years experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform • “Hands on” technical experience with installation and maintenance of products related to CICS TS / WAS and OEM product support • Thorough working knowledge of the capabilities and use of CICS TS • Experience with installation and tailoring of CICS TS and related OEM products • Thorough working knowledge and experience with IBM’s SMP/E • Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts, configuration and tailoring • Thorough working knowledge of products used to monitor performance of CICS TS regions • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Ability to multi-task and work under short deadlines and in high pressure situations • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
