📋 Description

• Develop information systems by studying operations, designing, developing, and installing software solutions • Support and develop the software team • Work with leadership to define software requirements • Lead operational and technical projects • Design, build, and maintain small-to-medium features and services using object-oriented design principles • Own technical implementation from design through deployment with limited oversight • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, accelerate debugging, and support test creation • Design reusable, testable components aligned with existing architecture, interfaces, and coding standards • Diagnose and resolve non-trivial bugs and performance issues using logs, metrics, and traces • Contribute to automated testing, including unit and integration tests, and improve test coverage • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers when appropriate • Apply secure coding practices and address common web and application security risks • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers during sprint planning, estimation, and backlog refinement • Maintain and improve technical documentation • Stay current on engineering and AI-assisted development practices and share effective techniques with the team

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience in an object-oriented language (PHP preferred) • Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and clean code practices • Experience working in a Linux-based development environment • Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3 • Solid experience with relational databases and SQL/MySQL • Working understanding of system architecture concepts, debugging strategies, and observability fundamentals (logs, metrics, tracing) • Demonstrated commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainable design • Practical experience using or strong interest in AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, or documentation responsibly • Experience with Docker or containerized environments (nice to have) • Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms (nice to have) • Experience using AI to improve engineering workflows (nice to have)
