📋 Description

• Build new features for two production healthcare mobile applications, one for doctors and one for patients • Improve mobile application performance and maintain existing codebases • Work on platform-specific integrations and features requiring native iOS Swift or Android Kotlin code • Progress from smaller tasks to complex work including performance tuning, refactoring, production debugging, and architecture improvements • Use AI coding tools to investigate issues, understand unfamiliar code, implement and review changes, write tests, automate repetitive tasks, and improve workflows • Critically review AI-generated code and take ownership of final implementations • Communicate asynchronously through backlogs, wikis, GitHub, Slack, and other text-based tools • Explain technical thinking clearly, document technical decisions, and collaborate effectively with the team

🎯 Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript • Strong experience with React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript • Experience working with production mobile applications • Solid understanding of mobile app states, navigation flows, background/foreground transitions, authentication, networking, and state persistence • Familiarity with Apollo, React Query, or similar data libraries • Familiarity with native development using Swift or Kotlin • Experience debugging complex issues across JavaScript and native layers • Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in a real development workflow • Ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code • Strong asynchronous communication and ability to collaborate primarily through text • Ability to work with at least 4 hours of overlap with a core team • Experience with camera functionality, file uploads, native bridging, Twilio, S3, Sentry, healthcare development, AI workflows, agents, skills, prompts, or development automations is a plus
