📋 Description

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data • Implement reliable ETL/ELT processes moving data into warehouses and lakes • Develop and maintain enterprise data models, integration frameworks, storage solutions, and architectural patterns across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments • Define and maintain data solution architecture and governance frameworks aligned with business objectives • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, solution validation, performance tuning, deployment strategy, and complex issue resolution • Establish architecture principles, engineering standards, and best practices across development teams • Implement data quality, lineage, metadata management, backup, accessibility, security, and governance practices • Partner with security and compliance teams on controls and regulatory requirements • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, analysts, BI teams, and IT partners to translate needs into technical designs • Clean, transform, and organize raw data into usable formats • Create analytical tools and programs supporting analysis, reporting, and decision-making • Evaluate and optimize data systems for performance, reliability, speed, and maintainability • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions balancing business value, security, compliance, and operational risk • Build cross-functional relationships and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • Adapt technical approaches and priorities as technologies and business needs evolve

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field –or- equivalent experience • 10+ years of experience in data engineering • Expertise in scalable data solutions using microservices, event-driven architecture, and API-first design • Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools, data warehousing, big data technologies, and database systems • Proficiency in SQL and Python • Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, data modeling, integration frameworks, and data governance practices • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and Snowflake or Databricks • Experience designing and supporting solutions across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments • Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX compliance standards • Ability to lead architecture reviews and provide technical direction without direct authority • Experience with performance tuning and optimization • Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders • Demonstrated success delivering secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise data solutions • Experience driving standardization and governance across diverse systems, teams, and global environments • Ability to evaluate tradeoffs across innovation, compliance, security, cost, and sustainability • Strong collaboration and influencing skills across IT, BI, analytics, security, compliance, and business teams • Ability to make sound, timely decisions in ambiguous or evolving technical environments • Intellectual curiosity and a practical approach to emerging technologies • Change agility while maintaining delivery focus
