📋 Description

• Lead Quality Assurance for a AAA game development team • Lead embedded testing teams • Partner with cross-functional leadership to balance quality, schedule, and risk • Define global QA strategy, test objectives, quality gates, and risk-based testing methodologies for major project milestones • Integrate QA into early development planning and the feature lifecycle • Mentor and develop QA Leads and testers • Manage internal and external QA resources • Oversee functional, gameplay, performance, stability, multiplayer, and platform certification testing • Monitor defect trends and quality risks, prioritizing critical issues through resolution • Analyze defect data, identify systemic quality issues, and drive root-cause analysis and preventative initiatives • Communicate emerging quality risks and technical assessments to Production and project leadership • Establish QA schedules and deliverables for major milestones • Assess build stability and release readiness • Coordinate final regression and stabilization during release periods • Lead first-party certification preparation and track submission risks • Advocate for quality as senior QA representative within project leadership • Build cross-disciplinary partnerships for shared quality ownership • Manage external vendors and co-development QA teams • Implement data-driven reporting and dashboards for build health, test coverage, and milestone progress • Improve QA efficiency through automation, tooling, and process retrospectives

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in software QA • 3+ years managing teams in game development • Proven track record of shipping at least one major AAA title across the full development lifecycle • Expertise in developing test strategies • Expertise in risk-based testing • Expertise in Agile methodologies • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership • Experience with Unreal audio features, such as Audio Mixer, MetaSounds, Sound Cues, Submixes, Quartz, and spatialization plugins (nice to have) • Experience with platform-specific audio constraints and certification considerations (nice to have) • Experience building editor tools and pipeline automation (nice to have) • Experience supporting large-scale content teams and multi-project shared technology (nice to have) • Experience with console certification, multiplayer/online services, and live-service operations (nice to have) • Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, automation, and telemetry (nice to have)
