📋 Description

• Own inventory strategy and decision-making across assigned SKU categories • Define replenishment parameters and govern reorder points • Monitor excess inventory and determine MTO-to-Stock and Stock-to-MTO transitions • Run the new SKU selection tool and apply Pre-Entry Scoring Gate guidelines • Own the internal stocking request workflow, including Product Information Sheets, approval requests, and receipt tracking • Analyze stock turnover and own the replenishment order list • Enforce the no-replenishment-without-demand rule • Lead the Monthly Inventory Health Review • Lead dead stock and excess reduction programs through promotion, fire sale/bundling, and physical disposal • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external vendors • Align inventory actions with the Distribution Curation & Value Selling Strategy • Contribute inventory-health data and recommendations to the Product Curation Council • Lead supplier-facing inventory coordination, including MOQ renegotiation, return/rotation agreements, and consignment terms • Maintain and contribute to the QMS • Translate inventory strategy into clear direction for Procurement, Data Management, IT, Logistics, and other supporting teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent; advanced degree a plus • 5–8 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, or category management • Demonstrated ownership of inventory strategy and P&L outcomes, including dead stock reduction, working capital improvement, or fill rate performance • Strong command of safety stock, reorder points, MTO/MTS switching, demand forecasting, and SKU lifecycle management • Experience coordinating cross-functional execution through influence rather than direct authority • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets • Experience with ERP or inventory planning systems such as SAP or equivalent • Clear communication skills and ability to present findings to leadership • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment • Experience in industrial distribution, mechanical components, or B2B manufacturing strongly preferred • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10–15% annually, primarily domestically • Must be able to lift and handle products or stock items on necessary occasions
