📋 Description

• Oversee a pod of Accounting Managers, bookkeepers, and a book of clients • Provide team support, direction, supervision, and training • Oversee month-end close and key accounting activities • Review management reports, key metrics, accounting packages, reconciliations, and balance sheet and P&L trends • Review inventory reconciliation, write-offs, obsolescence adjustments, product costs, and inventory systems • Review accounts receivable processing and aging reports • Review accounts payable processing, aging reports, and Bill.com payments • Review payroll processing, journal entries, and accruals • Provide ad hoc reports and details • Provide client dashboards and KPIs • Help clients develop finance and accounting SOPs • Educate clients on their financial situation and serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner • Oversee client communications and serve as an escalation point • Develop SOPs and training documents • Lead training sessions • Create efficiencies, build automations, and enable AI where possible • Manage the pod budget • Maintain clean files and document storage

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting • 2+ years of experience in a multi-client or consulting role • 2+ years of experience leading a team • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required • Advanced level expertise in QBO and Excel required • NetSuite and Xero experience highly valued • Experience with e-commerce clients is required • Experience with typical e-commerce tech stack, like Shopify, Amazon, PayPal, bill.com, etc. required • Experience with wholesale and retail platforms like SPS Commerce and Target highly valued • Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices required • Audit and/or due diligence support experience highly valued • Solid understanding of financial statements and how to evaluate them required • Excellent analytical and communication skills required • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time in a remote work environment required • Proactive and team-centric attitude required
