📋 Description

• Own a core infrastructure product or subsystem end to end, including design, delivery, operation, and production accountability • Define project goals and success metrics aligned with company objectives • Identify and address project risks proactively • Create technical designs from PRDs and requirements • Build secure, high-performing, resilient, and cost-efficient infrastructure • Design, write, and ship software and developer-facing tooling • Manage infrastructure through code and configuration, primarily using Terraform • Partner with product engineering teams to architect services for scale • Participate in incident response and diagnose issues across services • Tune and evolve monitoring and propose stability and performance improvements • Apply security practices and identify vulnerabilities in personal work and peer reviews • Serve as a technical resource and mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and design feedback • Drive cross-team collaboration and facilitate technical and process discussions with stakeholders outside engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering within primarily cloud-based environments (AWS preferred) • Track record of owning a product or subsystem end to end • T-shaped expertise with deep specialization in one or two areas and broad systems knowledge • Strong hands-on experience managing infrastructure through code and configuration (Terraform or equivalent) • Expertise in networking, load balancing, containerization (EKS/Kubernetes), and distributed systems • Solid programming skills in Go, Python, or a comparable language • Hands-on production experience operating Redis/ElastiCache, including cluster/shard management, failover behavior, memory eviction policies, and scaling strategies • Experience with observability tooling, performance tuning, and incident management • Fluency with software engineering best practices including source control, code review, comprehensive test coverage, and safe deployment • High level of personal ownership and autonomy, including experience working without clearly defined requirements • Strong written and verbal communication in English • Must be authorized to work from the home location • No visa sponsorship provided
