📋 Description

• Own UI/UX design for fireclaytile.com end to end, from concept through Figma to build-ready specifications that ship • Handle Shopify Plus backend configuration, including products, collections, metafields, checkout, apps, navigation, and discounts • Lead design for custom development projects with the internal development team, including Salesforce/Shopify integration and the sample ordering experience • Partner with Growth Marketing on landing pages, CRO experiments, and site performance • Use AI tooling, including Claude, to increase design output • Direct the work of remote/offshore developers • Work directly with leadership to understand market direction • Serve as a Fireclay Tile Brand Ambassador and represent the company’s core values • Maintain a beautiful, fast, converting, mobile-first, accessible e-commerce experience

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience for e-commerce • Significant Shopify experience, ideally Shopify Plus • Expert proficiency in Figma • Ability to produce build-ready specifications developers can execute without back-and-forth • Fluency in the Shopify Plus admin • HTML/CSS/Liquid literacy sufficient to QA developer work and prototype small changes • Very strong AI-first approach to UI/UX design • Experience in the Home category, such as tile, flooring, furniture, fixtures, building materials, or décor • Understanding of visual-first merchandising, sample-driven purchase journeys, and long consideration cycles • Self-directed and comfortable owning a function solo • Experience directing remote/offshore developers • Strong e-commerce instincts for conversion, page speed, mobile-first design, and accessibility
