📋 Description

• Drive sales within the assigned territory and meet the annual quota • Manage the complete sales cycle from pipeline development through closing and handoff to implementation • Develop and grow relationships with brokers and consultants in the assigned territory • Seek new broker relationships to maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline • Educate brokers and clients on COBRA, Compliance, CDH, and Leave/FMLA • Define client needs, propose and present benefit administration solutions, negotiate proposal terms, and secure stakeholder buy-in • Maintain technical IRS Code and employee benefits knowledge to address questions • Respond to client, broker, and Account Manager questions and requests • Identify industry changes affecting the business and present solutions to management • Research technical and legal questions using internal and external legal resources • Partner with marketing to maintain consistent value-proposition messaging • Maintain accurate outreach, meeting, pipeline, and sales records in Dynamics365 CRM • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition new clients smoothly • Visit brokers, attend conferences and events, and attend the annual sales meeting • Report to the CEO

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in Massachusetts, preferably in or near the Boston area; candidates in neighboring cities or states may also be considered • Minimum seven to ten years of work experience in a related field, including benefits administration, health and welfare benefits, third-party administration, HR, or account management • Documented history of sustained sales success, ideally in the health and welfare benefits industry or a related field • Strong existing network of health insurance broker, third-party administrator, or health insurance carrier relationships • Sales and business acumen with networking and relationship-building skills • Strong communication skills and comfort building relationships and presenting to all levels of internal and external organizations • Excellent presentation and writing skills • Ability to use independent judgment and expertise to develop, maintain, and expand broker relationships • Self-motivated “hunter” personality with desire for personal and professional growth • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred • Understanding of the value of providing a high level of customer service • Knowledge of COBRA, Compliance, CDH, Leave/FMLA, IRS Code, ERISA, and other regulations • Proficiency with Dynamics365 CRM, Outlook, Word, and Excel • Ability to travel frequently by car and airplane • Ability to exchange accurate information clearly • Ability to travel 25–40%
