📋 Description

• Develop high-quality production software as part of Foundant’s product engineering team • Support ongoing production environments and resolve challenging technical problems • Make architectural decisions at the application and service levels • Diagnose systemic and architectural issues across component and service boundaries • Identify and resolve integration issues proactively • Coordinate technical work across team boundaries • Use AI-assisted development and agentic tooling in daily engineering work • Deliver production-ready improvements to clients quickly • Lead engineers through complex initiatives by influence rather than authority • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience • Significant experience at a principal, staff, or equivalent senior individual contributor level as a hands-on developer • Mastery of architectural patterns and judgment to apply them at application and service level • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Node.js, and React • Track record of building and shipping production software • Extensive full-stack development experience with scalable RESTful applications using React and Java/Spring Boot • Advanced proficiency with large-scale relational database management systems (RDBMS) • Experience with analytical systems and databases processing large volumes of data • Proficiency with AI-assisted development practices and tooling • Experience developing cloud-based SaaS applications • AWS experience highly desirable • Experience owning production services, including reliability, performance, and incident response • Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools in production work • Experience with Claude Code or a comparable tool • Extensive experience diagnosing and debugging complex technical issues across multiple components and services • Experience using debugging and profiling tools • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
