📋 Description

• Lead a feature delivery team in designing, developing, and releasing high-quality software features for the Huntress SIEM Platform • Create the technical vision for features from the product roadmap • Own delivery, product quality, and uptime of complex mission-critical features and systems • Lead technical decisions with company-wide impact • Define long-term strategic technical goals and initiatives • Communicate strategic technical vision and critical technical trade-offs • Collaborate with engineering management, product management, security research, platform, and architecture teams • Develop and enforce engineering best practices • Design and optimize workflows bridging traditional development and AI-assisted engineering • Build and evolve AI tooling in daily development workflows • Engage with customers as necessary • Improve test frameworks, code quality, test coverage, monitoring, and alerting • Own performance impact, system evolution, configuration, and risk management • Lead estimates and timely completion of work • Mentor and coach junior engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of experience developing complex software products • 8+ years of programming in Ruby on Rails • 8+ years of large scale database experience • A BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience gained through work • Experience with modern data storage and query systems for high-volume analytics workloads • Experience in Agile or Scrum environment • Experience with JavaScript and CSS • Experience reviewing code, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting • A deep understanding of ActiveRecord (Rails) • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills • Ability to grasp new tools and technologies quickly • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks at a time in a fast-paced environment, often operating independently • Ability to distill complex technical topics for non-technical audiences • Ability to work cross-functionally between multiple teams • Ability to build strong relationships with product, development teams, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
