• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflows to collect, clean, and transform data from various sources into usable formats • Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy throughout the data processing lifecycle • Analyze and interpret healthcare claims data and related data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights • Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to nontechnical stakeholders • Design, develop, and maintain databases, data models, and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval of data • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including health policy experts, analysts, and healthcare stakeholders, to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data analysis, engineering, and visualization • Identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure, processes, and analytics capabilities
• Deep knowledge of health data, multi-payer databases, public healthcare payers, claims processing, and claims data analytics • Knowledge of US healthcare policy, trends, and factors such as eligibility, utilization, cost, and equity • Knowledge of state government role in healthcare • Expertise in data analysis and data visualization using tools such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, or similar • Expertise in data profiling, manipulation, and transformation using tools like Pandas, SQL, or similar • Mastery of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI • Familiarity with data modeling, database management, and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning concepts • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in healthcare administration, data science, statistics, or equivalent work experience preferred • 5+ years of experience in SQL • 5+ years of experience as a data analyst in the healthcare industry, preferably in claims • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
