📋 Description

• Lead multiple engineering squads and report directly to the VP of Engineering • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of 10+ software engineers and engineering managers • Guide the technical vision for FuzeRx’s B2B and consumer-facing platforms • Drive architecture, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software solutions for digital pharmacy and API-driven fulfillment platforms • Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle for the domain • Deliver features supporting API-powered prescription fulfillment and pharmacy logistics • Partner with Product Management, Pharmacy Operations, Design, and QA • Translate healthcare compliance and patient-care requirements into technical roadmaps and actionable sprints • Ensure adherence to HIPAA and SOC2 requirements and protect patient data • Establish and track DORA metrics, system uptime, and bug resolution rates • Serve as senior escalation point for critical outages and security incidents • Lead root-cause analyses and implement preventive measures • Manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and cloud infrastructure costs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field • 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, architecture, and distributed systems design • 3+ years of direct people management experience, including managing managers or leading multiple concurrent engineering teams • Previous experience building scalable B2B SaaS or consumer-facing web applications • Strong understanding of complex logistical or transactional systems • Standard business hours; available for on-call escalations as needed • Deep architectural understanding and proven experience deploying systems using AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript • Familiarity with Slack, GSuite, Coupa, and Jira • Proven ability to build high-trust relationships, manage conflict, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders • Demonstrable expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipeline optimization, and relational database architecture • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Master’s degree in Computer Science or an MBA with a technology focus preferred • Prior engineering leadership experience within Pharmacy Tech, Digital Health, or highly regulated environments preferred • Deep understanding of healthcare data interoperability, pharmacy management systems, API-led healthcare integrations, or EHR integrations preferred • Proven track record of scaling engineering teams by 50%+ or leading major architecture modernization projects within an AWS ecosystem preferred • Ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard, and mouse for extended periods • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, make repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions, and move light objects up to 20 pounds • Ability to effectively communicate verbally, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details
