📋 Description

• Manage, mentor, hire, and grow the Merchants & Integrations engineering team • Own the reliability, quality, and roadmap of merchant-facing APIs, payment app, and platform integrations • Maintain working technical context on the data model and payment flows • Review design and architecture decisions and unblock the team on difficult problems • Join sales and integration calls and represent engineering to merchants, partners, and prospects • Translate merchant needs into technically feasible solutions and scope integrations • Partner with Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Engineering to improve integration speed, compliance, and differentiation • Improve team planning, delivery, and support processes

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing a software engineering team • Track record as a senior IC / tech lead in payments or integrations, ready to step into management • Strong technical depth in backend systems, APIs, and data modeling • Hands-on familiarity with payments and/or e-commerce integration work, including payment gateways, checkout flows, and third-party platforms • Comfort being customer-facing in technical integration and sales conversations • Judgment to balance speed, reliability, and compliance • Experience at a payments company or comparable fintech / payments environment • Familiarity with Shopify Payments, Shopify payment gateway model, BigCommerce, and similar platforms • Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy payment flows • Experience scaling an integrations or partner-engineering team • Experience with Python/Django/Postgres
