📋 Description

• Lead a substation engineering team of civil and/or electrical engineers and technicians • Support substation projects, business development, and company initiatives • Interact with sales, marketing, account management, and project management business units • Manage engineering activities during proposal, design, and construction stages of assigned substation projects • Oversee project engineering scope, change orders, and schedules • Direct and coordinate multiple engineering disciplines and project management groups • Maintain project quality and responsiveness to client requirements • Oversee substation design activities and review drawings, calculations, and specifications • Provide strategic direction, leadership, and technical services oversight for employees • Create and manage team budgets covering revenue, profitability, training, recognition, and team events • Coach, train, and develop engineering staff • Conduct 1:1 meetings, career discussions, succession planning, reviews, promotion decisions, retention activities, and engagement surveys • Manage resource planning, cross-team and cross-office resourcing, performance reviews, merit and bonus decisions, training, and professional development • Support hiring through resume evaluation, technical phone screens, HR collaboration, interviews, and debrief assessments • Partner with Sales and engineers to grow revenue and expand services • Support proposal development and review with Proposal Development and Project Management teams • Build and maintain positive client relationships • Participate in strategic company and department initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering required from ABET accredited university or equivalent • 12+ years of experience in the Engineering field preferred • PE registration is required • Must be analytical and self-motivated • Ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude • Strong business acumen and industry knowledge • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships • Ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and responsiveness • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills • Proven experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US • Valid driver's license preferred
