📋 Description

• Grow and develop a multidisciplinary Platform Team spanning DevOps, App Security, SRE, and FinOps • Shape technical strategy and build an engineering roadmap reflecting priorities, dependencies, and tradeoffs • Manage technical debt, process health, dependency updates, and application updates • Deliver production-ready platforms and tooling that provide reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence • Strengthen application security, data privacy, access control, and secure coding practices • Build FinOps visibility tooling for cloud and infrastructure costs • Design long-term systems and architectures for scale, reliability, security, and maintainability • Coach and empower emerging leaders and mentor individual contributors • Resolve ambiguity and bring structure and clarity to specifications • Lead objectives spanning multiple teams and align them with organizational goals • Identify, document, and follow up on platform vulnerabilities and operational risks • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, knowledge sharing, and remediation • Integrate DevOps, App Security, SRE, and FinOps into one internal engineering system • Present a cohesive Platform Team mission and narrative to peer teams • Use AI to surface risks and gaps missed by manual review and measure team progress

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software manager engineering experience • Fluency across infrastructure, systems, and application layers • Track record of delivering production systems across varied languages, tools, and technology stacks • Experience writing, maintaining, and driving infrastructure and deployment safety checks • Effective collaboration with product, data science, and R&D teams • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release engineering practices • Production experience with AWS compute, storage, and networking services • Proficiency with Docker, Make, or similar build tools and environment scripting • Fluency with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform across AWS, GCP, and Azure • Experience driving secure coding practices, data privacy principles, and access control patterns in production systems • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and secure SDLC • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2 and NIST CSF • Deep experience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and production-grade software at scale • Direct experience with observability tooling for logging, metrics, and tracing, such as Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, or Grafana • Working knowledge of incident management, on-call rotations, escalation, and postmortems • Familiarity with cloud cost and billing platforms • Strong technical judgment under imperfect information • Ability to communicate architecture decisions to non-technical leadership • Ability to lead multi-team technical execution, estimate complex projects, create mitigation plans, and deliver milestones • Ability to mentor future technical leaders and raise engineering standards
