📋 Description

• Develop and implement long-term cybersecurity strategies and plans • Lead Risk Management Framework efforts for a large distributed system to obtain an Authority to Operate • Identify, analyze, and assess security risks • Develop and implement security risk mitigation strategies • Create and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines • Support incident response, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery • Support vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and other security tests • Collaborate with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and external vendors • Stay current on cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices • Guide and mentor junior security professionals • Train employees on security best practices • Interface with government customers to present program cyber risks

🎯 Requirements

• Secret clearance must currently be possessed and must be obtainable • U.S. citizenship required • 10+ years of related experience • BA/BS or equivalent • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification • Advanced IT security certification such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC • Understanding of Zero Trust Network Architecture security principles and implementation tools • Understanding of network protocols, devices, firewalls, and VLANs • Knowledge of encryption, pseudonymization, and data masking • Understanding of risk assessment, analysis, and mitigation techniques • Skills in identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents • Ability to troubleshoot security issues and develop effective solutions • Knowledge of evolving technologies and cybersecurity threats • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders • Strong information security frameworks and IT risk management knowledge • Expertise in DoD RMF controls and ATO processes • Expertise in security audits, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles • Knowledge of secure coding, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix security configurations • Proficiency with IDS, DLP, IAM, firewalls, and ZTNA tools and technologies • Detail oriented
